About me, my craft, and why I am the way I am.

Bio

As I’m sure you well know by now, I’m Adele. Being born and raised in McMinnville, I have to say, it feels so good to be home! I’ve been in Portland and behind the chair for the last 14 years and I’m excited to bring my love for the job back to Mac. I’ll be continuing to work up in Portland and have made a wonderful move to Lovesong Salon. I am very excited to be working with the beautiful humans at Lovesong, which is located NE Portland in the Bindery Building. In McMinnville, I am currently at a Kate’s Beauty Lounge and have been preforming hair and some esthetics services for a couple of years now. With over a decade of experience under my belt, I’ve had time to hone in on my craft. I love what I do and I look forward to sharing that with you!

I have worked hard to be well-rounded in my hair industry education. I have had amazing opportunities to gather experience from many advanced trainers, as well as other influences who have inspired me to never stop learning. Through this learning and experience, I have come to specialize in a few things, in particular balayage, highlighting services, as well as, short precision cuts and curly hair textures. But I love to have variety in my day. Keeps me on my toes.

Now, I know some of my safety protocols are different from others you’ve seen and heard about and I would like to shed some light on to why I’m doing things a little differently. With the current climate of the pandemic of Covid-19, it is my first and foremost concern that I provide a safe environment for everyone in my chair and my family I go home to. Unfortunately, my husband suffers from a disease that leaves him severely immunocompromised. It has been hard for me to make the decision to come back behind the chair to do what I love so much. The only way I feel good about this decision is to do everything I possibly can to make sure that my husband, Gary, can stay safe.

It is for that reason that I require all of my guests to wear a mask throughout the entirety of their service, as well as washing and sanitizing their hands periodically. These times are trying for all of us and I greatly appreciate everyone’s consideration and patience. This too shall pass, or at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
